Obituary

Walter R. Lee, Jr., 77, of Howell, died Thursday, July 10 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. During his early years, he was an electronics counter measure technician in the US Navy, with a search and rescue air crusader squad. After his hitch in the Navy, he attended he RCA Institute where he received his BSEE. His major employment was for Bell Labs, Perkin Elmer and chief engineer for Amutronics, Inc. during his retirement, he loved puttering on his property with his Kubota tractor and clearing his wooded acres. He was born in Elizabeth General Hospital to Walter R. Lee, Sr. and Mary Pulsifer Lee and raised in Hillside. He was pre deceased by his step son James (Jim) McChesney and by his in laws, Daniel and Lyla Betts Lupo. He is survived by his devoted wife Lee (Leona) McChesney Lee, his son, Robin Bannatyne and his wife Margaret and their son, Jeremy, his stepson W. Daniel McChesney and his daughter Amanda McChesney, his sister in law, Joyce Napolitani Procaccino and her husband, Vince and his niece, Marisa Napolitani, many friends and all animals. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday from 3:00 - 7:00 PM at the Ocean Grove Memorial Home, 118 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove. In lieu of flowers, Walt would have preferred donations to the Monmouth County SPCA, Wall Street, Eatontown.
