TONY Nino STOIA, 81, of OAKHURST, died Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Nino was a hair stylist, working last at Pro Hair Design in Eatontown. Mr. Stoia was a veteran of the Korean War, where he served with the United State Marine Corps as an MP and Drill Instructor. He was active with the Deborah Foundation, Boys Clubs and Veteran's causes. Tony loved animals and he was an avid fan of the Yankees and the NY Giants. He was predeceased by his parents, Al and Jennie Stoia and by his brothers, Ralph and Archie Stoia. Surviving are his wife, Dolores Dimodica Stoia, his two daughters, Denise and her husband Thomas Scannapieco of Jackson and Doreen Stoia of Yardley, PA his sister, Sophie Pizutelli of Union and his granddaughter, Deena Scannapieco. Relatives and friends were invited to call at the Ocean Grove Memorial Home, 118 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove on Monday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Tuesday, April 20th at 10:00 AM at St. Jerome's Roman Catholic Church, 250 Wall Street, West Long Branch, with interment following at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
