Obituary


THÉRÈSE BONNER HERRON, 79, of BRADLEY BEACH, died Monday, April 10, 2006, at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Thérèse was born in Carteret, NJ, where she lived until moving to Bradley Beach in 1977. She was a registered nurse and worked at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Elizabeth. Mrs. Herron was a member and past president of the Catholic Daughters of America in Carteret, Bradley Beach and Asbury Park, as well as a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, Perth Amboy and St. Peter's School of Nursing, New Brunswick, NJ. She served in the Cadet Nurse Corps during World War II and was a member of the Bradley Beach Decorating Committee. She was predeceased by her son Timothy in 1985, and by her brother Frank in 2006. Surviving are her husband, Joseph Vincent Herron, four daughters, Sister Nancy Herron, RSM of Lakewood, Mary Kazlauskas and her husband, John of Woodbridge, Jane F. Herron of Carteret and Jude Herron of Bradley Beach, four sons, Michael of Wrightstown, CW5 Joseph Durick, US Army of Ft. Belvoir, VA, Christopher of Spokane, WA and Gerald of Perth Amboy, a brother, Alphonsus Bonner of Neptune City, eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at the Ascension Roman Catholic Church, 501 Brinley Avenue, Bradley Beach on Tuesday morning, April 18 at 10:00 with burial following at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, N. J. Friends were invited to call at the Ocean Grove Memorial Home, 118 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9. At Thérèse's request Mass Cards, in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated.
