Ruth Shrader Beemer, 93, of Ocean Grove, died Wednesday June 11, 2014 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Ruth was a homemaker, active in supporting her husband in his ministry. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Ocean Grove and a member of the Anne Forrester circle. She was a graduate of Houghton College and was active in the Methodist community in Jersey City, Tenafly, Kearny, Hasbrouck Heights, and Roselle Park. She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Albert L. Beemer in 2003, by her son Ronald and by her sister, Mabel Johnson. Surviving are her sons, Gerald and his wife Cindy of Easton, MD,John and his wife Sandy Sutton of Ocean Grove, 5grandchildren, Scott L. and his wife Erin, David L., Carrie, Dawn and her husband Chris and Catherine and her husband Avi,4 great grandchildren, Zachary, Norah, Alys and Nathan and her extended family loved ones, Rev. Edwin Hahn and his wife Carol. Relatives and friends may callon Sunday from 5:00 - 7:00 PMat the Ocean Grove Memorial Home,118 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove. A funeral service will be heldon Monday June 16 at 10:00 AMat the funeral home, with interment following at Hackensack Cemetery, Hackensack, NJ.
