Raymond Olson, 82, of Ocean Grove, passed away on Wednesday, January 25th, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. He was born in Briarcliff Manor, NY, and grew up in the suburbs of Albany, NY before going on his honeymoon to Ocean Grove where he lived with his family for the rest of his life. He worked as a school bus driver for more than 30 years until his retirement. He was an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Ocean Grove. He drove the church van bringing church members to and from the Sunday worship service. He had a deep appreciation for Ocean Grove and a passion for taking daily walks on the boardwalk throughout the year. He was a devoted fan of the NY Mets and the NY Giants. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Surviving are his beloved wife of 52 years, Jeanette, his son, Raymond, Jr. and his wife, Ruth, and his daughter, Connie Robinson, and her husband, Joe, and two grandchildren, Logan Robinson, and Joey Robinson, his wife, Maria, and his great grandson, Oliver Robinson. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, February 2nd, from noon to 2pm for visitation and a funeral service beginning at 2pm at Ocean Grove Memorial Home 118 Avenue St in Ocean Grove. Internment will follow at Monmouth Memorial Park in Tinton Falls. Donations can be made in his memory to St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Ocean Grove.
