Lucille Egner, 90, of Spring Lake Heights, died Sunday December 19 at home. She was an office clerk for the John A. Couch Insurance Company of Westfield. She was a National Member of the Metropolitan Opera Guild, and a long time member of the Garden State Coral in West Orange. Lucille's favorite pastime was singing in choirs at the First Presbyterian Church in Orange, the Ocean Grove Auditorium and at St. Paul's Church in Ocean Grove. She enjoyed all aspects of life in Ocean Grove and in her early years, she was a resident of the summer tent community. She swam at the South End Beach in Ocean Grove for her entire life and she was a proud member of the Wisdom Bench. Born in Orange, she lived there before moving to Spring Lake Heights 18 years ago. Surviving is her sister in law, Ruth Egner, her niece, Carol Boniello and her husband, Michael, her nephew, William Egner and his wife, Diane. A memorial service at St. Paul's United Methodist Church will be held at a later date.
