LOUISE M. NIXON, 86, of OCEAN GROVE, formerly of Bogota, died Sunday, September 26, 2010 at the MediCenter, Neptune City. She was a nurse for the Exxon Corporation until retiring. Prior to that, she was employed by the Jersey Central Rail Road. Miss Nixon graduated from the Christ Hospital School of Nursing in Jersey City and then served as a Lieutenant in the United States Army as a nurse during World War II. She was a member of the Daughters of the British Empire and the New Jersey Association of Nurses. Surviving are her sister, Marie Herbst, her niece, Cynthia Chapman, her nephew, Eric Herbst, her great nieces Carrie Chapman and Jaclyn Herbst, her great nephews, James Chapman and Andrew Herbst and her great great nephew, Phineas Chapman. Relatives and friends may call at the Ocean Grove Memorial Home, 118 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove on Sunday, Oct. 3rd after 2:00 PM with funeral services beginning at 4:00 PM. Interment will be Monday, Oct. 4th at 11:30 AM at the East Ridgelawn Cemetery, 255 Main Avenue, Delawanna, NJ.
