Lori Ellen Kemper, 65, beloved daughter and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on August 4, lifted by the love of her friends. A long-time resident of Ocean Grove, NJ, Lori grew up and was educated in Union, NJ, daughter of Eileen Kemper (nee: Kostrab) and Hank (Thomas) Kemper.Lori's life emanated joy, laughter, deep faith, a spirit of adventure, passion and tremendous compassion. She was an avid reader and lover of all forms of the arts. Lori's inner beauty was evident to the outside world by her overwhelming kindness, and by the beauty she shared with the world through her magnificent garden—her blissful sanctuary.After completing her education at Union High School, Union, NJ, Lori earned a bachelor's degree from Kean College, Union, NJ. She went on to complete a master's degree in social work from Monmouth University, West Long Branch, NJ, an education that served and supported many in need.Lori was profoundly touched and grateful for the generosity and love of her many friends, particularly in recent times.To honor Lori's memory, donations can be made to the National Scleroderma Foundation, the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, and/or Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. A celebration of Lori's life will be held at the Great Auditorium, 21 Pilgrim Pathway, Ocean Grove on September 29 at 2:00PM. The casting ceremony will be held privately.
