LEE SCHNEIDER of Ocean Grove, died Friday, November 16, 2007 at home surrounded by family and friends who loved her dearly. She was a dance movement therapist at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Ms. Schneider also worked at the Elizabeth Blackwell Health Center for Women and was a counselor and manager for Planned Parenthood, both in Philadelphia. A 1984 graduate of Temple University with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts, she was currently working on a Masters Degree in Dance Therapy. Lee's enthusiasm for life was contagious, everyone who knew her was attracted to her energy. She had a wonderful caring way.
Lee was a very accomplished dancer, participating in Dances of Universal Peace and performing lithurgical dances. She founded the Ocean Grove Beautification Society, was a member of the Neptune Senior Center, and served as a facilitator for the Divorced, Separated and Widowed Group in Bradley Beach. Lee was an avid practitioner of aerobic activities as well as a student and leader of numerous yoga classes. She had a love of nature, art and the beach and most of all, her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father, Dionisio Cecilio Surviving are her daughter, Lauren Schneider, and her husband, Michael Dwyer, of Oakland, CA, her son, Dean Peter Schneider, and his wife, Susan Neustadter Schneider, of Margate, NJ, her mother, Concetta Rosa Cecilio, her brother, George Cecilio, of Blackwood, NJ, three grandchildren, Steven Richard Schneider, Dena Neustadter Giannini and Ultraviolet Schneider-Dwyer, and by her nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Visitation was on Sunday from 12:00 - 4:00 PM at the Ocean Grove Memorial Home 118 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove. Interment was private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a charity of your choice, in her name would be appreciated.
