Of Ocean Grove Died Peacefully With Family By Sunday

Obituary

KRISTINE ASAY of OCEAN GROVE died peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, January 15. 2006 at the age of thirty-six, after living with brain injuries sustained 18 years and one month ago to the day in a car accident during her freshmen year at Edinborough University in Pennsylvania. Kris will be remembered most for the person she was before the accident. In those 18 years she was a prolific writer, gifted artist, and valued friend, always looking out for the underdog. Conversations about Kris are always peppered by her joy of life and comical antics. Her love of life sprang from her heart for the Lord that was evidenced by public testimony and by the poems she left behind. She is survived by her mother, Bonnie Wolf Asay, her sister, Karen Adams, her brother, Bill Asay and a niece, Kaitlyn Adams, who all tearfully rejoice that she has received her new and whole body in heaven as she joins her earthly father, William, and her Heavenly Father. Friends were invited to call from 6:00 to 7:00 on Thursday evening, January 19th at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 80 Embury Avenue, Ocean Grove. A funeral service followed at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Paul's U.M.C. Youth Ministry, 80 Embury Avenue, Ocean Grove NJ. 07756.
