John Joseph Nolan III, 80 of Toms River, died on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ. He was a member of Greenbriar Woodlands community. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, he lived in Burlington, Neptune and Toms River. He was a Roman Catholic and worked in the steel business throughout his life. He loved his family, his work and a good laugh. In his free time he could be found at Monmouth race track or enjoying a show at the Paper Mill Play House. John was a caring, witty and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. He was predeceased by his wife Stella in 2008. Surviving are his eight children, Eileen Nolan and her husband George Cummings, John J. Nolan IV and his fiancé Xuelian (Sammi) Wei, Lisa Nolan and her husband Dan Griffin, Cynthia and her husband Timothy Cannuli, Kelly and her husband William Kaufman, Michael Nolan and his wife Carol, Victoria and her husband Michael Prodeline and Ryan Nolan and his wife Joni. His grandchildren are Brianna, Amanda and Ian Cummings, Grace, Anne and Joseph Griffin, Stephanie and Alyssa Cannuli, Michaila, Riley and Aynsley Kaufman, Michael, Madison and Matthew Nolan, Michael and Andrew Prodeline and Sean, Brendon, Allison and Cian. Relatives and friends are invited to come on Monday, February 8th from 5-8 pm at Holy Innocent Church, 3455 West Bangs Avenue, Neptune City, NJ 07753. A mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, February 9th at 10:00 am at the Church, with interment following at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Christian's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (or stjude.org) would be welcome. Please note on the check, In memory of John Nolan.
