JEAN LORETTA HUGGINS, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of NEPTUNE, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2008 in Orlando. Mrs. Huggins graduated from Asbury Park High School and received her Associates Degree from Brookdale Community College. Born June 30, 1924 in Sunbury, Pa., she married Joseph H. Huggins of Neptune on February 3, 1946 and they resided in Neptune for more than 60 years. Jean was a devoted wife and mother and loving grandmother. She was an avid reader and loved travel and wintering in Florida before moving to Orlando in 2007. Surviving are her husband; her son, Stephen Huggins and his wife, Elizabeth, of Orlando, Fla.; her daughter, Patricia Meehan and her husband, John, of West Chester, Pa; and four grandchildren, Sarah and Lindsay Huggins and Eric and Elise Meehan. Friends were invited to call at the Ocean Grove Memorial Home, 118 Main Ave., Ocean Grove, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, with services beginning at 11:30 a.m. Interment followed at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
