HOWARD CORDES HUNTLEY, 87, of Severna Park, Maryland, formerly of Ocean Grove, died Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at the Anne Arundel Medical Center, Annapolis, MD. Mr. Huntley was a pressman for the Ocean Grove Times and the proprietor of the Coast Advertiser Newspaper. Also, he worked in the Government Printing Office. He was a graduate of Barringer High School and attended Rutgers University, Newark Division. Mr. Huntley was a Staff Sergeant in the United Sates Army, serving in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He was a member and former chief of the Ocean Grove Fire Department and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Ocean Grove. Mr. Huntley enjoyed horticulture, reading and baseball. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy E. Huntley in 1989 and by his brother Richard Huntley. Surviving are his sons, Robert Day of Rochester, NY and Howard R. Huntley of Severna Park, MD, his daughter, Nancy Lysko of Ocean Grove, and six grandchildren. A funeral service was held on Monday morning, May 1st at 10:30 AM at the Ocean Grove Memorial Home, 118 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove, with interment following at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover. Friends were invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-5 PM.
