Harriet Campbell, 96, of Ocean Grove, died Monday, August 1, 2011. She was born and raised in Hunterdon County and graduated from Flemington High School. She married William (Bill) Haver and moved to Somerville, NJ where she raised herfamily, worked as a legal secretary, and made active contributions to her community and her church, where she served as the first female elder. When her husband died in 1969, she continued to work as a legal secretary, traveled, and made many contributions including serving a number of months in two different church missions. Later she married Paul Campbell. They moved to Ocean Grove where they had a happy and productive life together. Paul died in 2004. In recent years she has lived in Francis Asbury Manor enjoying the company of many good friends and family members.

She is survived by her sons Bill Haver and Tom Haver; her grandchildren Cheryl, Douglas, Katherine, Bradford, William, Christopher, Kaitlin, and Alexandra; her great grandchildren Rebecca, Christy, Pierce andLuca; her nieces Anne, Gayle, Eda, and Rae; all of their spouses and manyfriends. Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 27 in thechapel at Francis Asbury Manor in Ocean Grove. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity, the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association,or a charity of your choice.
