Rev. Eugene Wheeler Foote, 86, of Ocean Grove, died Saturday December 26, 2015 at Manor by the Sea, Ocean Grove. Eugene was born in Staten Island, NY on March 21, 1929 to Frederick and Beatrice Foote. He Studied at Wagner College and then graduated from Seminary School. Rev. Foote was a Methodist minister for many years, and he enjoyed the spreading the word of God to all that passed through his life. He married the former Marilyn Sauer in October 1975. Gene Loved going to the organ recitals at the great auditorium in Ocean Grove and participated in the bible studies with his wife at Manor by the Sea. He was predeceased by his wife Marilyn in August 2015. Surviving are his daughter, Yvette Foote and his grandsons Christopher and Brandon Pepin. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday January 6 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Ocean Grove Memorial Home, 118 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 80 Embury Avenue, Ocean Grove, with interment following at Hamilton Cemetery, Neptune.
