ELIZABETH H. GOODRICH, 99, of OCEAN GROVE, died Friday, June 2, 2006, at the Manor-by-the-Sea, Ocean Grove. Mrs. Goodrich was an active partner in her husband's ministry and an author, publishing her book Celestial Journey at age 95. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Ocean Grove, the church's United Methodist Women and a member of Church Women United, Asbury Park. Born in Paterson, N. J., she had lived in northern New Jersey before moving to Ocean Grove in 1974. She was predeceased by her husband, the Rev. Harry W. Goodrich, Sr. in 1989 and by her son Harry W. Goodrich, Jr., in 1991. Surviving are a son, James N. of Westport, Conn., a daughter, Elizabeth Millikan of Victor, N. Y., a sister, Ethel Gillespie, of Ocean Grove, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday afternoon, June 6th at 2:00 PM at St Paul's United Methodist Church, Embury and New York Avenues Ocean Grove, to be followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Centenary Fund and Preacher's Aid Society, 30 Rainier Court, Hackettstown, N.J. 07840 would be appreciated.
