EILEEN ESTELLE EVERSON REDFIELD YOUNG, 85, of NEPTUNE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 8, at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, surrounded by her family. Eileen will be sadly missed, but lovingly remembered. She was born in Ramsey and graduated from the Tenafly High School. Her work encompassed secretarial, administrative and office computer skills. For many years, Eileen bred and raised championship standard poodles. Her hobbies included sewing and knitting. Mrs. Young was particularly proud of her American heritage, which can be traced back for hundreds of years. She loved the beach, and was happiest when she could be by the ocean. She resided in Sebastian Villa in Neptune. Eileen was predeceased by her parents, John Benjamin and Wilhemina Stein Everson; a brother, John Karl Everson, and her husband, William Young, in 1988. Surviving are a son, William Ellery Redfield; a daughter-in-law, Mary Tilelli Redfield; two grandchildren, William E. Redfield and Mary Catharine Berger; nieces; nephews; stepchildren; stepgrandchildren, and many friends. At her request, there were no calling hours or funeral service.
