Obituary


EDWARD J. GREENAWAY, 80, of WALL, died Friday, November 9, 2007, at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He had worked as a line inspector for PSE&G Secaucus, NJ for 40 years until retiring in 1989. Mr. Greenaway was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Ocean Grove, where he served as an usher. He was also a member of the American Legion, Post 427 and the Masonic Lodge, both in Jersey City. He was a member of the Ocean Grove Auditorium Ushers Association and a World War II US Army veteran. Born in Jersey City he lived there, then in Leonia where he was an usher at the United Methodist Church before moving to Wall ten years ago. Surviving are his wife Donnis Allen Greenaway, three sons, Lawrence and his wife, Debbie, of Wood Ridge, Joseph and his wife, Madeline, of Wantage, Edward and his wife, Keri, of Coxsackie, NY, three daughters, Donna Doherty and her husband, Robert, of Demarest, Gail M. Cerutti of Sussex and Carol Moran and her husband, David, of Milford, NJ, two sisters, Margaret Furrevig and Ruth Barnaba, both of Forked River,fifteen grandchildren Matthew, Cristin, Ryan, Jessie, Ben, Johanna, Lawrence, Brandon, Sara, Eddie, Jillian, Scott, Kevin, John and Fallon. A funeral service was held at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, New York & Embury Avenues, Ocean Grove on Wednesday, November 14th at 10:30 AM with interment following at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Friends were invited to call at the Ocean Grove Memorial Home, 118 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove on Monday from 7-9 and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9.
