Charles Nicoll of Ocean Grove, passed away at the age of 82 on Thursday, July 5, 2012. Mr. Nicoll was a founding father of the Cleveland Ballet and a beloved ballet master at the Academy of Dance Arts in Red Bank for the past 25 years. He was a brilliant teacher of both children and adults in classical ballet and a gifted choreographer of children's ballets, most notably Affinities and Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra. Charles was a longtime resident of Ocean Grove, a true friend to many neighbors, both two and four legged! His life will be remembered and celebrated at the Ocean Grove Memorial Home, 118 Main Ave., Ocean Grove on Sunday, July 15 at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Academy of Dance Arts Scholarship Fund, 59 Chestnut St., Red Bank, NJ 07701 or to the Monmouth County SPCA, 260 Wall St., Eatontown, NJ 07724.
