Anthony James McCormick, 81, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2024, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Anthony was born in Long Branch and was a lifelong resident of Colonial Terrace in Ocean Township. He was a United States Army veteran and served a tour in Vietnam, earning commendations for his service to his country.After his time in the service, Anthony became the manager and chef at Vesuvio Restaurant in Belmar where he was known for making countless Jim's Salads and thin-crust pizzas over his 40 years there.Anthony is predeceased by his parents, Gladys and Francis McCormick. He is survived by his sister, Marilyn Ferst, his brother, John McCormick, and his beloved Amodio family.Friends and family are invited to join a prayer service to honor Anthony's long and beautiful life at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Ocean Grove Memorial Home, 118 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove, NJ, followed by interment with military honors at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Neptune.
