Anthony Andonedis, 89, of Ocean Grove, died Monday September 29 at home. He was a nuclear engineer for Westinghouse, in Pittsburgh, before retiring. He received his Bachelors Degree in Enginering and his PHd in Nuclear Engineering, both from New York University. Mr. Andonedis designed nuclear power stations in Japan, Englnd, Brazil, France, Canada and the South Pole. Anthony was a member St. George and St. Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral New York City and attended St. George's Greek Orthodox Church, Ocean Township. Mr. Andonedis served in the United States Army during World War II. He was predeceased by his first wife Helen Psarrou Andonedis. Surviving are his wife Janeina Domka Andonedis, his step daughters Kasia Figurski of Clinton and Ania Tworzydlo of France, a step son MaciejTworzydlo of Poland and 5 grandchildren, Ksawery Tworzydlo of Poland, Sarah and Daniel Figurski of Clinton and Philip and Alexander Pelc of France. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Ocean Grove Memorial Home, 118 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church 84-35 152ndStreet Queens, NY with burial following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Queens.
